- In a large bowl, mix the first six ingredients. Add oil, eggs, cream and vanilla, mix well. Stir in plums and walnuts. Pour the mixture into a large, unmantling baking dish.
- Bake at 350oF (175oC) for 45 minutes. Meanwhile, mix all the ingredients for the cover in a frying pan. Bring to the boil and boil for 2 minutes. Allow to cool.
